I have been commissioned to create a t-shirt design for a clients record label. He told me upfront that there wasn't much money in it, but that the exposure would be good for me, so I decided I would spend only 5 hours on the piece. However, I was having a bad day and what I created was so awful. I couldn't possibly send it. I left the design for a few weeks and revisited it. I think I improved drastically in those few weeks, because the following design was a vast improvement.
I also decided that typography isn't a forte of mine. But Sophie ed smith is genius at it, so I asked if she would like to collaborate, which she did.
I have sent him these two designs, to get some feedback and to see if he is pleased with the overall aesthetic. Hopefully there won't be too much to change, as I have already spent much longer than intended on it.
