Poster designs changing.

So this was the design I was going to work with at first, and incorporate the ice flying around him. However it just didn't work for me, and I wasn't happy with how it looked at all. It wasn't the clean and professional look I was aiming for, rather it looked like my a level work and I knew I could do better. I just needed to work harder on design and layout.
I decided to start working on white to achieve this. Still with pencil colours, and then the paint for the ice, so id had a lot of practice doing this.

I started looking at graphic design books just to get a better idea of composition.

Simple and minimalistic seems to work better for a clean outcome. Im even starting to consider type for my poster after looking at these. I don't know why I've always felt restricted to illustration books, because I feel this book has helped my ideas develop just as much. This book displays good use of space too, and after looking through it I had a much clearer direction in which to go about my poster.

Here's the scan of my final Ranulph Fiennes. Looking fearless, ready to tackle anything with his ice axes and climbing gear. Im happy with this drawing, and feel it suits my style a lot more than the other one. All ready to get photoshopping now!
