Started this brief with as much experimentation as possible, in the hope that it would spark some interesting ideas. Being a pretty open brief, I could potentially take it in any direction. I knew nothing about Ranulph Fiennes when i picked his name, in all honesty i didn't even know who he was. So my initial research was all about understanding who he was, what he's done. and then how to portray him. Many of my initial drawings are studies of him, and then trying to figure out how to show snow, cold, ice etc. Playful and fun. Quite enjoyed the collage but not sure what i could do with it yet.
